1.) Does it cost me to make a booking through Breakaway Lettings?
No, the price that is listed on the site is set directly by the holiday home owner. When you confirm a booking Breakaway Lettings does take depoist payments these are forwarded to the holiday home owner along with booking details to ensure the booking is confirmed smoothly.
2.) When is my booking confirmed?
Once we have received a booking request online from yourself, we contact the holiday home owner to confirm that the price and availability are still correct, once we have confirmed these details we will email you with payment details for the depoist. Once this depoist is taken the holiday booking is confirmed. Your details will then be forwarded to the holiday home owner, who in turn will contact you to finalise the booking, at which stage the contract exists between yourself and the holiday home owner.
3.) How do i know my party will be accepted for the booking?
Each listing on our website shows if each individual holiday home owner has any restrictions i.e smokers/non smokers or weather pets are allowed or not. If you are not 100% sure please send an enquiry to ourselves and we can provide confirmation, although all details are given within the holiday home listings.
4.) How does the credits and affiliate rewards work?
We work with many leading online retailers and services, and they pay commissions for members using their services via Breakaway Lettings. On receipt of these commissions from these websites we will credit them to your account meaning they are there for you to use against your holiday booking. Some credits are funded by Us like registration, referrals & reviews, whereas the affiliated shops and services are funded by the retailer concerned.
5.) I've participated in some of the affiliated retailers but have yet to receive credits, when will i receive these?
We generally receive a monthly report from retailers with commisions earnt, once we have received this report we will credit them back to your account. Please ensure you are logged into your account when you use an affiliates services otherwise we will not receive details of your useage.
6.) I have earnt credits using the affiliated section of the website, can i use these on my booking?
Yesyou can once these are recorded in your account. When you get to the booking confirmation screen these will automatically show deducted against your depoist due. Therefore reducing the outstanding balance of your holiday.
FAQ's About Hiring Out Your Own Holiday Homes with Breakaway Lettings
1.) How much does it cost to advertise my holiday home on Breakaway Lettings?
It is totally free to advertise properties on Breakaway Lettings, we charge no set up fees or annual charges. A handling fee is charged on bookings we make.
2.) What is a "Handling Fee?"
A handling fee is charge on bookings made through Breakaway Lettings, this fee is £10 on bookings. This is deducted from the customers depoist. This fee allows us to absorb all credit card and bank processing fees relating to the payment.
3.) Are there any other fees i will be charged?
No, the handling fee is charged to cover related admin with the booking, no further compulsory fees are charged. Optional extras are available at a charge.
4.) How are bookings made?
With Breakaway Lettings a customer has can view all listed properties and their availability and prices, they can then proceed to make a booking. Once a booking is made, Breakaway Lettings will contact you by email to confirm these dates and prices are still correct and available. Once you have confirmed these details we will take the depoist payment from the customer, the handling fee will be deducted and the remaining balance will be forwarded onto yourself.
5.) How is the remaining balance collected?
Once a customer has paid the depoist the holiday is marked as confirmed, Breakway Lettings will forward you all the relevant details regarding the booking for you to collect the remaining balance and confirm arrival details.
6.) I see customers can earn credits to use on bookings, do i still receive the full amount?
Yes, you will always receive the full amount you request for your accomodation (less the handling fee). The credits are funded by Breakaway Lettings and related affiliates, allowing customers to save substantialy on holiday bookings, whilst still allowing you to receive your full booking amount
7.) Can I chose my position on the search results if i want to appear higher in the results?
Sorry this is not possible, all listings are free and all holiday accomodation receives the same weighting in the search results. We do offer featured listings on our front page, these are available at £10 per year, these do not guarentee a permenant front page listing but you will be listed during the year on the Breakaway Lettings front page. 8.) Can i amend me details on-line?
Yes, please do, the more details you give the more chance your property has of appealing to holiday makers. Please always keep your availability calender upto date. Please remember that contact details i.e telephone numbers and email/web address are not permitted within the property listings.
